ISO 13485:2016 Certification Earned By Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing

Butler, PA - SRI Quality System Registrar is pleased to announce that it has recently awarded an ISO 13485:2016 Management System certificate to Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing, located in Butler, PA for the design and manufacture of advanced polymer devices for medical, foot care, safety, athletic and industrial markets.

According to Edward L. Maschmeier, Associate Vice President, Certification:

ISO 13485:2016 is process-based; certification recognizes organizations that can link business objectives with operating effectiveness. Companies that achieve Management System certification to ISO 13485:2016 have demonstrated effective implementation of documentation and records management, top management’s commitment to their customers, establishment of clear policy, good planning and implementation, good resource management, efficient process control, and measurement and analysis.

New CNC Machine at PPM means Increased Savings for Customers

BUTLER, PA -- Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing (PPM) is proud to announce the newest addition to their manufacturing process a 3 axis CNC machine.

The CNC machine allows PPM to create prototype molds in house. Making the molds in house allows PPM to easily change designs to fit customers’ specific needs.

The fully functional CNC machine will increase the productivity and shorten the time needed for prototyping and production.

The CNC machine can machine molds that are 20” long , 30” wide, and 20” high. The CNC machine will allow PPM to pass on savings to the customers by creating custom molds in house eliminating the time and money spent on outsourcing.
