Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing was founded in 1977 by Jim Zona, who, upon graduation from Penn State University, was intrigued by the possibility of manufacturing “waterbeds” for your feet. Since producing our very first gel insole, Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing has grown into a global leader in the contract manufacturing of customized cushioning products for the medical, safety, industrial, and foot care markets.

Operating out of a 91,000-square-foot facility in Butler, Pa., Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing uses a team approach in the design, prototyping and fabrication of the functional, stylish products it creates.
