The prospect of designing and manufacturing a helmet pad in accordance with a long list of industrial and military specifications might have given pause to some companies.

But we simply did what Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing has always done:

We got to work.

First, we enlisted a team of our most talented designers, engineers, and product developers. Then we conducted intensive research and mobilized our extensive in-house resources to source material samples and generate comprehensive product designs.
Finally, we made a series of prototypes, testing each under a range of extreme conditions until we created one that met all of our client’s demanding specifications.

The end result was a virtually indestructible foam helmet pad that absorbs impact, wicks away moisture and weighs almost nothing.
​
And all within the confines of the project’s strict budget.
